Well, Hello 2025! Dr. T, January 5, 2025 Long time no speak, and Happiest of New Years! We made it to 2025. Can you believe it?! Anyone else make resolutions they’ve already not kept? I made my usual: eat better, exercise, write more, etc. Of course, I want to post more on my channel and social media pages and go LIVE more often. I love engaging with people from all over the world. There are other things I need to take care of professionally as well, like getting my CUEs in for my recertification before the renewal date. Yes, never a dull moment. I also revisited the hobby I took up in the spring of last year, crocheting. After the initial hand-aching couple of weeks, I got into the groove of making things with balls of yarn again, because how cool is that? Before, I was so excited to make blankets, ponchos and hats, I just there would be so many that I would sell them eventually. Sadly, I got preoccupied with other things, so I didn’t get to revisit the activity until the new year. I had also gotten stumped at corners of the outlines after connecting my granny squares and adding fabric underneath. In that vein, I have a couple of unfinished masterpieces patiently awaiting my skill to turn the corner—pun absolutely intended. Oddly, it took me a little time to reteach myself. The good news? I am back to making my granny squares. And guess what? I had forgotten how therapeutic the process was. Learning, creating, the calm and quiet during, mindless weaving of hombre colors into beautiful works of art. Top tier self-care activity btw. I especially enjoy the fun the colors I’m using for this current project I am working on because of who it is intended for. That is the best part, too. The people I have in mind during construction. The thought of where my creations will end up and who uses it is part of the love in making it. So, one of my hopes for you is to find a new hobby or revisit an old activity you enjoyed that brought you peace. If you still like participating in it, do it again. Or better yet, expand upon it and see how you can take it to the next level! Some food for thought for this upcoming year. Move authentically. Reinforce your intentions. Find and/or pursue your purpose. Become reinvigorated with the message you intend to share and, lastly, use your experiences to make this world a better place x Dr. T Uncategorized 2025crotchetlovepurposeself care
